The second Policy Brief of MINDb4ACT Publication Series analyses the need of semantic tools in the fight against radicalisation, using as an example a Francophone jihadist glossary.

This Policy Brief examines the importance of semantics in preventing and countering violent extremism, presenting a recently elaborated Francophone jihadist glossary as a key tool for practitioners to interact in a safe way with jihadists, to mitigate violence and to detect risks if they are expressed verbally.

The author, Jean-Luc Marret, who also wrote a scientific article on the topic, gathered the information during the making of the glossary tool on French-speaking jihadists language. The activity, identified under the name of ‘pilot project’, was funded by the MINDb4ACT project.
