The third Policy Brief of MINDb4ACT Publication Series examines some of the security challenges presented by the Internet and media, advancing policy recommendations to counter violent extremism online.

This Policy Brief seeks to highlight a series of existing and emerging challenges for British and Northern Irish countering violent extremism practitioners. A special focus is given to the Internet and ‘new media’ context which are causing an increasingly worried atmosphere surrounding privacy and security concerns.

The author, Alice Raven, who, in collaboration with her colleague Douglas Wells, also wrote a scientific article on the topic, gathered the information during two study visits funded by the MINDb4ACT project.
